Date Ideas That Can Be Cheap And Fun
During these difficult financial times coming up with cheap date ideas that are also fun can be a challenge. So I have created a list of cheap date ideas that are not only cheap but can be a lot of fun too.
Test drive cars. This is definitely one of my favorite cheap date ideas. Test drive sports cars at a nearby dealership. The cars may be expensive, but the date definitely won’t be.
Take a trip to the mall. Set a small price limit and see which of the two of you can come up with the best gift for the other. This is also a great way to get to know the type of things your date may like when finances improve.
Free concerts are a cheap fun way to spend the day or evening. Many new musicians are always offering free concerts in the park as a way to win over new fans. These can be easy enough to find either on line or in your local newspaper, and can provide a great way to enjoy a day out.
Go stargazing. If you’re looking for one of those romantic date ideas that won’t break the bank, take your partner stargazing. Curl up under a blanket with a glass of wine and challenge each other to spot constellations first.
Attend a reading. If you both are the intellectual type, attend a book reading or local poetry event. Many bookstores and cafes host readings with both established authors and first time writers.
Go for a hike or bike ride. This is one of those great date ideas for the adventurous or nature-loving type. A lot of cities offer bike rental services, if you and your date prefer a more urban setting.
Host a movie night. This is one of those classic date ideas, but it doesn’t have to be boring just because it’s a classic. Add a twist to spice the night up. Create a theme, like Worst Movies Of All Time or Horror Film Least Likely To Keep You Up At Night. Then see which of the two of you select the best movie.
Visit an animal shelter or pet store. If you and your date are animal lovers, why not spend a few hours playing with pets at one of these locations? Just be careful you don’t go home with a new roommate.
Volunteer together. This one should be easy. Displaying compassion to others less fortunate is a great way to spend a day. Not only do you get to spend an afternoon with your date, you get the added bonus of feeling good about yourselves and earn some major karma points in the process.
Enjoy a spa day. Sometimes the best nights out are the ones you spend in. Set the scene with a nice wine, candles and soothing music, take a relaxing bubble bath (preferably together!) and give each other massages.
Take any one of these cheap date ideas and add your own spin to create a memorable date that did not break the bank.
